The eagerly awaited superhero follow-up Krrish 4 has been delayed due to ongoing budget conflicts between actor-director Hrithik Roshan and producer Aditya Chopra from Yash Raj Films. According to a report, even though there is a lot of public excitement for the return of the well-loved franchise, discussions have hit a standstill because both sides cannot agree on the financial aspects. The project appears to have moved away from its initial production start date set for 2026. The main issue lies in the proposed production expenses for the movie. "Hrithik Roshan, who is set to direct for the first time with this film, imagines a grand project with a budget nearing Rs. 500 crores," the report stated. It is suggested that Chopra, who has been adjusting the costs of various projects within his company, has suggested a maximum limit of Rs 350 crore to keep the film financially sound. Several rounds of discussions have failed to resolve this disagreement, putting the collaboration with Yash Raj Films on hold.
With the project currently sidelined, Krrish 4 is unlikely to start filming in 2026 as was originally planned. The schedule has now changed, and new production dates are yet to be set. In light of the budget restrictions, Roshan is reportedly reviewing the script based on recent input and is looking at different options for the film’s future. The report also mentioned that the actor-director is considering possible partnerships with other large studios that might be willing to align with his financial vision. Meanwhile, Roshan is expected to move forward with another acting role. He has reportedly looked over several scripts and is close to making a choice on his next project, with an official announcement likely to come soon. The actor's previous film, War 2, did not do well at the box office.
